Terry George's War Thriller 'Riverman' Begins Filming in Neom, UK

Oscar-winning Irish director Terry George is due to direct the war thriller Riverman and is gearing up to film Neom in Saudi Arabia and the UK.
Inspired by war diaries written during the war in Afghanistan, the story follows a Royal Marine who is recruited by a private arms dealer and descends into a world more dangerous than the battlefield.
The screenplay was written by George, director of Hotel Rwanda and The Promise, who also wrote the screenplay for 1994's In the Name of the Father. His directorial debut, Some Mother's Son, was in Un Certain Regard at Cannes in 1996.
Casting for Riverman has begun and filming is scheduled to begin in January 2024. Neom in the northwest of Saudi Arabia will facilitate filming with sound stages, production aids, talent and crew.
